Various letters, writings, etc. from 19th century Eastern Europe. Many are addressed to Rabbi Mosheh ben Zeʼev (1793-1883) in Odessa and Berdyansk. Included are halakhic responsa on issues of get, largely dealing with the proper way to write names of people and locations in the text, responsa on the issue of agunah, a short commentary on the Talmudic tractate Ketuvot, commentaries on parts of Shulḥan Arukh, etc. Also included are a group of responsa from Rabbi Mosheh Aharon Bakhrakh, several lengthy discussions of Rambam's view of whether mitsvot need to be done with intent. Also contains some chapters from an anonymous work entitled Mishpeṭe Tsedeḳ dealing with various Talmudic principles, some responsa from a work entitled Leḥem Abirim, as well as an index to new responsa in that work, a prayer to be said before going to the mikveh, etc.
